IP Paralegal


Location: Irvine, CA

Salary & Benefits: $90,000 to $105,000 per year, and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, etc.

Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire, Hybrid (2 Days Onsite).


LHH has partnered with a national law firm seeking a skilled and experienced IP Paralegal to join their team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least three to five years of experience with patent prosecution work and possess a strong working knowledge of U.S. Patent and Trademark rules, processes, and procedures. As an IP Legal Secretary, you will provide crucial support to our attorneys and possess a strong familiarity with legal terminology related to Intellectual Property (IP).


Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in patent prosecution work, including preparing and filing patent applications, responses to office actions, and other related documents.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of U.S. Patent and Trademark rules, processes, and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient completion of patent-related tasks.
  • Handle general office procedures, including expense reports, client bills, multi-line phones, and conflict-checking forms, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
  • Maintain and update Interaction, or another CRM database, to manage client information and facilitate effective communication and organization.
  • Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience, with a focus on patent prosecution work.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. Patent and Trademark rules, processes, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with general office procedures and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal terminology related to Intellectual Property (IP).
  • Prior experience handling expense reports, client bills, multi-line phones, and conflict-checking forms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
