Title : Network Engineer (Specialist - Cloud & Infra Management)

Location : Washington, DC (District of Columbia ) (5 Days Onsite)

Job Description:

Must Have: Cisco wireless and wired network, ACI, DNAC, and strong network switching and routing troubleshooting skills

• We need candidates with 7-11 years of experience in Networking, Security, Design implementation, and Operational support. Experience in support and implementation of Routing, Switching, Security, and Wireless is required. Devise, plan, deploy, and optimize wireless networks from the beginning to implementation by collaborating with different teams and vendors.
• Use tools to evaluate, test, and tweak wireless products, such as routers, switches, wireless controllers, prime infrastructure, and wireless monitoring systems.
• Install, configure, and customize Cisco DNA Center, CMX, and Prime Infrastructure.
• Lead and perform wireless site surveys with vendor engineers and generate survey reports including AP layouts.
• Optimize wireless network coverage and performance in high-density areas by reviewing current wireless system configurations.
• Work with the security team to evaluate threats, troubleshoot issues, and comply with appropriate security configuration standards.
• Design and deploy changes to the configurations of existing wireless devices as per the applicable change management process.
• Write manuals and document current network procedures.
• Extensive experience in configuring and customizing Cisco DNA Center Software, Cisco Connected Mobile Experience, and Prime Infrastructure.
• Strong experience utilizing wireless site survey toolsets and generating reports.
• Deep knowledge and experience with wireless client high-density design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Deep knowledge and experience in wireless security authentication and encryption protocols including Cisco ISE.
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS configuration and troubleshooting across multiple platforms.
• In-depth understanding of core CCNA & CCNP (Routing and Switching protocols), Check Point firewall, and ASA.
• In-depth understanding of protocols RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, SPT, HSRP.
• Experience in support and implementation of Routing, Switching, Security, and Wireless. Should be able to communicate with stakeholders and service providers.
• Work with partners to ensure that their networks are configured and maintained to support the levels of availability required.
• Ability to identify critical IT issues and propose viable solutions.
• Upgrade customer data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases.
• Configure routing and switching equipment.
• Configure Network Management and Authentication Systems.
• Configure wireless systems and location-based services.
• Collect the required vendor/customer qualifications.
• Provide remote support for on-site engineers and customer’s equipment during installation or hardware support.
• Conduct remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation.
