**Experience:** Minimum 1 year required; experience in a large labor and delivery unit/facility is a must

**Certifications:** ACLS, NRP
**Must-Have:** Circulate and FHM skills; experience with postpartum, baby nurse, meconium deliveries
**Job Description:**
- Care for patients in a Level I Trauma, Children's Hospital, Teaching Hospital, providing acute care.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2 in labor and delivery.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to manage deliveries and ensure the safety of mothers and babies.
- Perform special procedures including cerclage, version, cesarean section, postpartum tubal ligation, external and internal monitoring, and artificial rupture of membranes.
- Provide medically assisted deliveries, cesarean hysterectomy, neonatal palliative care, and apply nitrous oxide use protocols.
- Follow massive transfusion protocol and manage malignant hyperthermia cases.
- Float as needed within scope to meet facility needs, including antepartum and postpartum units.
- Participate in on-call duties with specific requirements: 12 hours over four weeks for 4x12s or 24 hours over four weeks for 3x12s.
- Accommodate block scheduling if possible, though not guaranteed.
- Comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements; medical and religious exemptions are accepted with appropriate documentation.
- Engage in continuing education through module completion and attend in-person orientations with potential in-services.
- Comply with strict compliance requirements; complete all necessary documentation and testing in a timely manner.
- Personal transportation is required in situations where public transport or ride-sharing is unavailable.
- Participate actively in the orientation process with a focus on developing professional competencies.
