Graphic Designer

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, collaborative, and possess the ability to create original work that brings strategy to life as well as work within our templates and brand requirements. To be considered for this position, qualified applicants must submit work from their portfolio along with their resume. The ideal submission includes print and digital work.

Responsibilities:

• Creating designs, concepts and layouts for the team’s printed and online marketing materials with a clean and modern aesthetic that communicates brand values
• Ordering marketing materials from different vendors as necessary
• Working with and providing excellent customer service to the clients
• Manage workflow from beginning stages to the end (including follow ups)
• Collaborating with our team of designers, website specialists and social media experts
• Ability to work quickly to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects at once
• Any activity required by management/leadership
• This position is an in-person position in Washington, DC

Requirements:

• Proven graphic design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating excellent typography, layout, and creativity
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, photoshop, and InDesign
• Outstanding organizational and planning skills, and exceptionally detail-oriented
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; proven ability to be flexible in a team-oriented environment with diverse groups of people
• Able to work independently, accept feedback, and reprioritize workload
• 2 years of graphic design or graphic arts experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Desired

• Basic video editing and/or animation skills (After Effects or Premiere Pro 2020)
• BA/BS in graphic arts or graphic design preferred, not required
