The Account and Partnership Manager will secure corporate sponsorship to support the mission of Cascade PBS, which is to inspire a smarter world. Sponsorship revenue supports the operations and programming of Cascade PBS, a local media organization that provides award-winning journalism and valuable educational content to the Pacific Northwest community while demonstrating Cascade PBS’s values of integrity, community, innovation, and diversity. Sponsorships may include unrestricted and restricted revenue as well as trade agreements.

Seattle, hybrid schedule available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Initiate, cultivate, and secure partnerships with companies and advertising agencies through outside sales tactics.
  • Research and analyze quantitative and qualitative data for TV and digital audience prospects and clients.
  • Create proposals and sponsorship packages.
  • Plan and conduct sales presentations.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts.
  • Secure corporate sponsorships and meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Manage and grow ongoing client relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date account and prospect information (including contact management information and affidavits).
  • Enter account, contract, and media ID information into traffic and CRM systems.
  • Ensure spots air as ordered, digital ads are served, sponsorships activated, and sponsored content published to provide optimal client service.
  • Coordinate payment schedules with Accounts Receivable.
  • Work with Production, Design, and clients to produce TV spots and digital ads.
  • Provide Traffic with necessary information needed for scheduling spots and digital ads.
  • Plan and conduct team sales calls including staff from Underwriting and other departments as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of Cascade PBS.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Excellent presentation skills and proven sales ability required.
  • Must be comfortable with cold calls.
  • Ability to multi-task, troubleshoot, and deal with deadlines required.
  • A working knowledge of audience research, contact management, and traffic systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Three years’ media or business-to-business sales experience required.
  • Familiarity with event sponsorship and digital sponsorship sales preferred.
  • Experience in outside sales required.
  • Established clients and/or contact list preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time.
  • Ability to type on a keyboard for long periods of time.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable means of transportation to meet requirements of the job.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
