Requisition Summary

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Lead product development and validation activities related to:
    • Requirements Definition
    • Supplier selection
    • Outsourcing contract engineering services work
    • Maintain alignment with the Battery team and experts within PACCAR divisions
    • Provide Technical Leadership for battery development programs and running business support
  • Drive Uptime with electric powertrains and battery electric vehicles
  • Determine department and project goals, track and manage
  • Provide written and verbal updates to communicate status, changes, risks and improvement opportunities

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Physics required. Masters or Ph.D. preferred
  • 10+ years commercial vehicle / industry experience required
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and working experience in battery development/integration for commercial vehicle applications, actively leading projects in this field
  • Previous Supervisory or managerial experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team to achieve timely objectives required
  • Demonstrated leadership and effective collaboration across diverse teams solving complex problems required
  • Demonstrated truck and powertrain product knowledge required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to deliver technical presentations and written reports to diverse audiences required
  • Willingness to grow personally and professionally
  • Willingness to collaborate on a global scale across multiple continents and time zones
  • Ready to learn and make use of new processes and techniques
  • Willingness to be outgoing, and engaging, with a demonstrated passion to deliver top quality results
