**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Telemetry - Cardiac Stepdown
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Night Shift, 12-Hour Shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36-48 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum experience required
**License:** Must have a current RN license
**Certifications:** Must have required certifications
**Must-Have:** Experience with Epic EMR
**Job Description:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit.
- Manage patients with common diagnoses such as Myocardial Infarction (MI), Chest Pain, Respiratory Distress, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
- Perform and assist with special procedures like Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Cardioversion, and Procedural Sedation.
- Work in a 41-50 bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
- Participate in every other weekend rotations as required.
- Float to other units within your skillset as needed.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.
- Complete any required documentation accurately and timely within the electronic medical records system, Epic.
- Flu and COVID vaccines are required, with medical or religious exceptions accepted.
- Engage collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and comply with all state and local nursing regulations.
