The Temecula KOA at Vail Lake is an outdoor campground destination looking for enthusiastic people to join our outdoor landscaping team. Located in beautiful Southern California among a grove of oak trees, we are a year-round park offering camping close to the Temecula wine country, beautiful Vail Lake, and miles of mountain bike, horse, and hiking trails. Our goal is to create a great camping experience for our guests by offering excellent customer service. Working hours:
· Reports to Facilities & Maintenance Department Manager
· Full time – 32-40 hours/week
· Friday – Tuesday
· 7am-3pm (hours may vary depending on specific needs of the park)
· $18-$22 based on experience

Responsibilities:
· Ensures customers receive a high level of service consistent with our customer service philosophy
· Help to ensure the safety of guest and campground property with attentive observation and action
· Help enforce campground policies and implement solutions consistent with goals of park
· Maintain the upkeep of the campground landscaping. This can include but is not limited to: trimming and shaping shrubs, trees, and plants for health and aesthetic looks as well as removal of unwanted weeds, grasses, leaf litter and other debris
· Safe and proper use of equipment tools used in landscaping such as hedge line trimmer, chainsaw, blowers, hand tools, pruners, saws, rakes, shovels, cultivator, etc.
· Maintenance and repair of irrigation system: sprinkler head replacement and adjustment, lateral line repairs and valve replacement
· Utilize proper tree pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals
· Planting and transplantation of trees, shrubs, plants, flowers as directed
· Clean equipment, tools, and work area as required
· Weekend pool facility maintenance
· Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or General Manager to assist with the overall operation of the campground
Requirements:
· 2 years experience in landscaping and/or tree care
· Able to work with others and work independently
· Recognize and identify plants, trees, shrubs and flowers used in landscaping
· Ability to operate light vehicles safely on property
· Intermediate knowledge of common tools used for gardening/landscaping
· Intermediate experience with powered equipment used for gardening/landscaping
· Capable of digging, bending, climbing, and other manual labor
· Professional Appearance and attitude towards guests and fellow team members
· Communicate professionally and patiently
· Be on your feet during shift and able to lift at least 50 lbs.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Willingness to do a variety of tasks both in and out of the daily scope of work
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
