MOAA’s Senior Marketing Manager will play an integral role in developing, implementing, and managing strategy to build brand awareness of the organization and grow our introductory electronic membership category through national advertising campaigns, experiential initiatives, and collaboration with military influencers. S/he will align marketing strategies with the goals and objectives of MOAA’s strategic plan, principally using paid media to include, but not limited to, display, social media, SEM, and email marketing. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities include , but are not limited to:
- Oversees MOAA’s national advertising campaign and serves as the primary point of contact with external advertising agency.
- Manages and executes advertising campaigns with a focus on engaging a younger demographic and driving them towards paid membership levels. Responsibilities include messaging, creative development, web assets, tracking, goal setting, and analytics.
- Participates in the development and execution of strategies to engage current and prospective members at in-person events, including efforts related to MOAA’s partnerships with the alumni associations of the US military academies.
- Leads efforts to expand MOAA’s influencer programs with emphasis on identifying potential influencers, messaging, and distribution channels.
- Interfaces with internal and external sources to develop content, landing pages, forms and tracking capabilities.
- Tests new strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of a robust inbound marketing strategy to leverage MOAA content in order to generate leads and BASIC members and cultivate life-long dues paying members.
- Monitors KPIs and ROI for all initiatives and identifies opportunities through analytical insights to enhance current and future campaigns.
- Keeps current with emerging technology and developments in digital marketing in order to identify new opportunities to engage members and grow membership.
- Serve as a member of the outreach team, representing MOAA at conferences and tradeshows, as needed.

Required Professional Qualifications
- Proven experience integrating multi-channel marketing efforts as part of a larger strategic initiative.
- Experience leading projects and managing project teams and media budgets.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision, manage numerous projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of campaign analytics and demonstrated ability to analyze data and draw conclusions about the success or failure of new initiatives.
Professional Education and Experience
- At least five years of digital marketing and association management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and CRM platforms such as Fonteva and Hubspot.
- Proficiency in graphic design with ability to create visually compelling campaign assets.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Passion to support the greater military/veteran community.
