Milestone Systems, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled Lead Business Analyst to work in our US Headquarters located in beautiful Lake Oswego, Oregon. We are looking for someone who loves the technology field, is numbers savvy, easily adapts to and learns new systems, and enjoys working with a diverse team. This position will report to the Financial Controller in the Americas region and work closely with the Director of Business Operations, Directors of Sales (US, Canada, and LATAM), Lead Business Analyst in the region, as well as global teams including Global Sales Operations, Center of Excellence and other teams in Denmark.


The Lead Business Analyst will serve as an integral position within the Americas Finance Department. This position requires a high degree of proficiency with management reporting, analyzing data, understanding Milestone’s data structure, and working with leadership stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

The focus of this role would be the delivery of management reporting to regional leadership that combines KPIs and data visualization to highlight insights into revenue performance. By partnering with stakeholders from sales management, Global Center of Excellence (COE), and Global Sales Operations (GSO), this analyst will find new ways to measure success in a rapidly changing sales environment. Proficiency in Power BI, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint will be crucial for success. Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Generate monthly and ad-hoc management reporting, including written commentary, analysis, and insights.
  • Translate management reporting insights into real-time Power BI reports via direct development and/or collaboration with development resources.
  • Continuous stakeholder management to stay in touch with the sales organization and ensure reporting deliverables remain relevant in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be the bridge between the business and data teams by documenting business requirements, testing global development, and working to ensure end-user reporting needs are met with scalable solutions.
  • Ad-hoc data mining and analysis of multiple disparate systems through use of tools such as SQL, Excel, reporting platforms, and BI tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the strengthening of tools, skills, infrastructure, and process improvements required to achieve business objectives.
  • Interface across the organization to answer challenging analytical questions related to the business data definitions in your domain.

Professional Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in data analysis and visualization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience documenting business requirements for development teams to ensure features are deployed correctly, and met on time, as committed.
  • Comfortable with large datasets, data transformations, and data modelling in Power BI. Advanced DAX skills preferred. Skills in SQL are a plus.
  • Experience analyzing software sales data. Prior experience with Salesforce data is a plus.
  • Experience leading complex strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with remote teams, external vendors, or consultants on requirements for cross-functional projects as well as post-production support.
  • Skilled in report design. Experience creating user-friendly reports using Power BI is a must.
  • Experience and interest in Power Automate, Power Apps, and/or Robotics are a plus.
  • MBA preferred but not required.

The annual on-target earnings for this position range from $100,307 to $161,868 with most candidates falling in the $122,972 to $141,001 range. Pay is based on the level, location, complexity, responsibility, and job duties of the specific position and is just one component of Milestone’s total compensation package.
