POSITION SUMMARY:The Portfolio Management (PM) Associate is an integral member of a Wealth Management team whoassists Financial Advisors / Private Wealth Advisors with developing financial plans and investmentstrategies based on client goals. The Portfolio Management Associate creates a consistent and positiveclient experience to help ensure all commitments are completed and delivered in a timely manner. Thisrole requires an in-depth understanding of market conditions, trends and overall economic outlook inorder to provide both client and portfolio management support to the team.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Portfolio Management & Business Development:Makes asset allocation recommendations to the group and sets up the portfolio in conjunction with the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth AdvisorProactively evaluates and upgrades platforms for the Portfolio Management Group; implements decisions by using the LYDIA trading platformDetermines scope of and performs necessary database and internet research, screenings, and produces monthly or quarterly reports using proprietary softwareCritically examines current holdings to evaluate if portfolio action is warrantedAttends research meetingsClient Support:Regularly meets with clients to discuss investment strategy options and perform market reviews with or on behalf of the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth AdvisorManages clients’ estate, trust, retirement, and insurance objectives with the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth AdvisorScreens new client prospects that are developed through leads and referrals to determine suitability for addition to groupDevelops marketing and seminar material and helps distribute targeted presentations to clients on behalf of the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth AdvisorEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:*Education and/or Experience* _ * 5 years of experience in a field relevant to the position required * Four-year college degree or professional certification preferred * Active Series 7 (GS) and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) * Additional product licenses may be required * Mandarin fluency preferred _*Knowledge/Skills* * Enjoys working with people and solving problems * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in applicable software applications * Knowledge of financial industry and investment products preferred * Successful completion of Portfolio Management Coursework or holds the CFA designation * Strong understanding of applicable compliance rules, regulations and firm policies * Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks * Able to work independently and effectively on a team * Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, evolving environment *Reports to:* * Business Service Officer Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $50,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
