Job Description
The Solution Architect presents MCPC’s technical solutions to our clients. A Solution Architect must expand the discussion to cover an end-to-end technology solution, elaborating on all aspects of the product and services offering from MCPC. As a member of the sales team, the Solution Architect works collaboratively with the MCPC Account Manager to identify customer requirements, design a product set or solution that meets those requirements, evangelize the proposed solution, and adjust the solution as necessary for the customer.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The MCPC Solution Architect must bring a high level of professionalism to their job every day and is expected to continually advance in their professional career at MCPC. Additional training and certifications are expected. This position will work closely and collaboratively with Sales, Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and Engineers, focusing on managed device lifecycle services.
- Engaged in the sales process working collaboratively with Solution Consultants on qualified opportunities; interacting with key partners, staying current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and manufacturer’s technology offerings (50%).
- Billable services through assessments, designs, and technical project oversight (50%).
Key Outcomes of the Position
- Customers advised on issues related to the solution design and deployment.

Document Creation
- Ensure products, services, or solutions sold are relevant and complete for the customer.
- Deliver proposals that are technically complete and competitively priced.
- Create solution designs with Visio and/or other documentation tools.
- Build project estimates in compliance with practice defined templates and pricing strategies.
- Prepare pre-sales materials required to assist in the sales process.
Technical Responsibilities
- Stay current on relevant technology and MCPC service offerings.
- Identify appropriate products and services that best fit client needs.
- Maintain vendor relationships to ensure effective sales presentations.
- Work with the delivery team to map a design into a solution roadmap.
- Timely communications with MCPC Project Management regarding timelines and budget.
- Effectively communicate solutions architecture to the customer and project teams.
- Maintain the appropriate sales and technical certifications.

Experience and Educational Requirement:

- Demonstrated experience in a technical architecture and design role.
