As an integral part of San Pedro's team, the Guest Services / Security team member assures all guest service matters are addressed while maintaining a secure facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with group leaders or individual guests when needs arise.
  • Identify guest needs and make appropriate interventions for guest satisfaction.
  • Assist guests with Audiovisual needs and show group leader how to properly use it.
  • When needed refer guest needs or plant issues to appropriate Department Head and when necessary to the Executive Director.
  • Notify appropriate law enforcement or emergency services when need arises for guest safety or emergency medical conditions. Notify Executive Director when and if these services are activated.
  • Make rounds of the property to determine facility is safe and secure. Check all guest areas for safety concerns. Ensure electrical rooms/closets are locked and not accessible to guests. Report any needed repairs or maintenance concerns in Issuetrak.
  • Carry and answer After Hours phone.
  • Assist Guest Services Manager and Program Manager as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
  • One (1) year of comparable experience.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Computer literate with experience in Windows.
  • Clear Driver's License.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people in an atmosphere of collaboration and service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess demonstrated ability to work in a church-related as well as service-oriented environment.
Language Skills:
  • Must have outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to apply routine mathematical concepts such as addition, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Requirements:
  • Position requires walking, sitting for extended periods of time, bending, stretching, and stooping.
  • Repeated use of hands, fingers, wrists, and arms. Must be able to see up close as well as from afar.
  • Job incumbent must also possess the ability to hear and communicate both verbally and in writing, in person and via telephone and electronic communications.
