What we’re looking for:

As a Senior Engineer, you will be instrumental in the creation of a groundbreaking ad tech product, built from the ground up for both internal and external, vendor-impacting tracking and measurement. This platform will play a vital role in enabling targeted advertising and optimizing user experience. This position will include hands-on web development, working closely with Product Managers, Data Science, UX/Design and Engineering teams to build a scalable and efficient solution that helps Gartner Digital Market’s achieve new heights.

Why you’ll want to come to work:

  • Architect and develop an innovative and robust B2B ad tech platform, addressing the unique challenges of the Gartner Digital Marketing’s advertising space.
  • Responsible for developing various scalable ads systems, including serving, measurement, targeting, reporting, etc.
  • Build service frameworks with the highest performance and availability.
  • Integrate with third-party measurement partners.
  • Perform hands-on development and provide thoughtful code reviews and architectural insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, manage and execute against product vision and roadmaps.
  • Ensure the platform's compliance with industry standards and best practices in ad tech.
  • Mentor and guide a team of engineers, contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends and technologies in ad tech and digital marketing.

What you’ll bring to the team:

Must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in implementing designs and leading the development of new software, with a strong background in Go, Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Proven experience building ad tech platforms, including client-side JavaScript libraries, coupled with a deep understanding of digital advertising principles and ecosystems.
  • Experienced in at least one of the following areas: ads delivery, ads measurement, ads targeting, privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs).
  • Strong expertise in data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
  • Experience with cloud services, big data technologies, and scalable systems.
  • Successful experience leading an agile team in developing and deploying software, emphasizing planning, definition, development, testing, and production implementation.
  • Experience developing high-level product specifications, while considering system integration and feasibility.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in ads measurement.
  • Experience with B2B sites.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 100,000 USD - 149,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
