About This Position
We are looking for a Director of Product to join our growing team! Our ideal candidate is curious, always looking for new ways to solve problems, and has the aptitude to oversee three teams as we implement complex technologies quickly and effectively. You’ll bring hands-on technical experience from being a part of a software-focused team. In addition, you are collaborative and can make a well-rounded contribution to the team.
You will provide guidance and mentorship to the product team. The Director of Product is accountable for ensuring the speed and accuracy of solution delivery, timelines, and timely delivery of solutions. Responsible for excellent communication across development, product, and operations, the Director of Product will have experience in innovative strategy and a desire to lead teams to success.
This is a full-time position out of our Lexington, KY office and can be on-site, hybrid, or remote. If remote, you can expect to visit the office for new hire orientation and typically for team meetings once a quarter.
What You'll Do:
- Own the Mission, Product Vision(s), and Product Strategy
- Ensure transparency and visibility of the product direction across the organization
- Conduct market research, develop a deep understanding of the market position and audience, and seek and justify alternative solutions.
- Demonstrate top-notch people skills
- Be an independent thinker, problem solver, and innovator
- Empower product managers to take ownership
- Continuously improve efficiency, enhance quality control, and streamline processes
- Track product success
What We're Looking For:
- Five (5) years of experience in product management, preferably in leadership roles, with a track record of successfully managing and launching products
- Experience with cloud-based data technologies (Azure preferred)
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and continuous improvement
- Hands-on experience as an individual contributor in a technical role
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team of Product Owners and Product Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Working experience in Agile Scrum environments
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new product development
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ensure products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Monitor product performance and implement strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders, including executive leadership and customers
- Proven experience as a Product Director or similar leadership role in the data solutions industry
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Bonus points for:
- BS or MS/A in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
- Proficiency in computer technology and programming languages
- Experience with product in the dental, veterinary, logistics, hospitality, or other vertical markets
- Familiarity working with large data solutions
