A career within International Tax Services will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC address their cross border tax needs both locally and globally by managing their global tax rates, finding areas of cost reduction, and responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities. You’ll gain a global perspective and an awareness of tax issues stemming from changes to evolving business structures and geographic expansions. Our International Tax Services Generalist - Practice Support team advises PwC Client Services team advises clients on tax laws and reporting, legislation and planning strategies based on the geography and jurisdiction. You’ll be assisting our team with local tax laws, reporting requirements, statutory filings, corporate strategy, transfer pricing and indirect tax and other international taxation needs.

As an international tax M&A manager, you would be part of a team that advises multinational corporations, private equity firms, and private companies on the tax aspects of diligence and structuring deals including: communicating findings and opportunities to clients; analyzing various cross border tax issues and legislative updates; managing cross border components of tax structuring projects; interviewing targets and their tax advisors; and assisting on post-deal structuring and exit scenarios.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree

Required Field(s) of Study: Accounting

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 4 year(s)

Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Educational Preferences: A Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation field of study will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge in the following areas:

  • Assisting companies and investment firms to understand and assess the tax impact of cross border M&A transactions;
  • Researching Tax and consulting within an international taxation environment with a focus of M&A. Prior tax due diligence experience preferred;
  • Considerable knowledge of public accounting practices, law firm or corporate tax department of a multinational company; and,
  • Performing financial analyses to assess the tax consequences of specific transactions.

Demonstrates extensive technical skills in the following areas:

  • Analyzing structural realignment, cash and financial statement effective;
  • Improving tax efficiencies of cross border flows in an M&A context; and,
  • Managing financial analyses to assess key aspects of M&A practices, preferably for a global network of professional services consulting firms, emphasizing the following areas: Applying and interpreting U.S. international income tax law as it relates to tax due diligence exercises and structuring transactions, including reorganizations, leverage buyouts (LBOs), and spin-offs.

Demonstrates extensive experience identifying and addressing client needs including the following areas:

  • Building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions;
  • Working in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment with varying deliverables and changing requirements;
  • Managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and,
  • Preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.

Demonstrates extensive experience as a team leader including the following areas:

  • Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust;
  • Seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation;
  • Coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback; and,
  • Demonstrating extensive experience as tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships.
