Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be responsible for overseeing various administrative and client-facing tasks related to payroll, benefits and compliance processes. In this role, you will ensure accuracy, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with internal teams and clients to guarantee timely delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee end-of-day processes, including the preparation and submission of NACHA files, Positive Pay files, and bank confirmations. Strictly adhering to banking deadlines while maintaining a detailed processing schedule to ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks.
  • Coordinate with implementation teams to gather and verify critical client information for program execution.
  • Verify the entry and management of garnishment data, ensuring that all legal requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as payroll and benefits administration, to ensure smooth and accurate service delivery.
  • Communicate with internal and external teams to ensure issues are resolved quickly and service delivery is not disrupted.
Required Skills:
  • Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for detail is essential, as accuracy is critical when overseeing and verifying financial and legal data.
  • Strong Prioritization Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Must be able to clearly and promptly communicate with internal teams and clients, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues early and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar administrative or program management role.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with a professional employer organization is a plus.
