Program Lead of Out-of-School Time Program

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Lead of Out of School Time (OST) works closely with the Out-of-School Time Coordinator and is at the forefront of supporting the successful implementation of all learning opportunities outside of regular school hours. The Program Lead's primary focus will be on the coordination of program development and implementation, but they may also support personnel, budget, and operations as needed or assigned.
FPS operates Before and After School programs from 7 a.m. until the school start time and from dismissal until 6:00 p.m., including early release days, some vacation weeks, and summer sessions. It is our mission to provide high-quality, affordable Out-of-School Time care to Framingham children in grades Pre-K through fifth.
Through a collaborative effort with school staff, the community, and the OST Coordinator, the Program Lead's role is to provide a high-quality OST program experience for students that complements the education they receive in the classroom. With a strong focus on project-based learning, the program supports students by building and improving skill sets useful both today and in the future through an engaging and academically rigorous environment where students are expected to meet the same standards and are encouraged to find their own paths to achieving them.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) minimum years experience in working with school-age children in a supervisory role. High school degree/GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred, with a degree in Education or related field. Bilingual Portuguese or Spanish skills preferred.

- Implement both before and after school programs, services, and activities to ensure they meet state/district objectives, align with the school day, and serve the needs and interests of students.
- Collaborate with OST coordinator to plan, develop, implement, evaluate overall programs.
- Assists with supervision of before school staff
- Ensure and enforce compliance with district policies and procedures for all staff.
- Meet twice a month with OST coordinator for supervision and planning time.
- Ensure a productive work environment at all sites.
- Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders, and organizations.
- Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned by OST coordinator and/or director
- Assist OST coordinator with maintenance of EEC licensing applications, site visits, paperwork/ record keeping, and all other state requirements
