Job DescriptionUnder direct supervision, assists higher level Network Engineers with the installation and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations involving readily identifiable problems. Assists in the planning of large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine network maintenance, including software upgrades and patching.
- Patch network jacks and ensure all connections are secure and functional.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with staff to address and resolve network-related concerns.
- Monitor network performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure all network equipment and configurations comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of new network solutions and improvements.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT related field required.
- Valid CCNA Certification Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.
- Ability to use judgment in interpreting work directions for appropriateness to specific tasks or problems. Effective organization skills.
- Proficient in analysis and problem solving, ability to assess customer needs and determining appropriate solutions. Customer service skills.
- Ability to understand and adhere to systems security and control procedures in accordance with departmental, vendor standards and regulatory bodies.
- Proficiency with Cisco infrastructure and equipment.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in a healthcare/hospital environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with staff and other IT professionals.

- Experience Performing Packet Captures and Troubleshooting Issues

Preferred Qualifications:
