Job Summary

Heitmeyer’s banking client is seeking a hands-on software engineering leader and people manager to lead and manage a team of developers making customizations on a consumer collections application. This role is contract-to-hire and requires to be onsite 3 days a week.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities include people management of a team of engineers including the development activities from end-to-end, performance reviews, and providing direction to achieve individual and organizational goals. Additionally, perform Full stack programming on bank applications as needed to assist with team efforts, solution architecture and design, build relationships and collaborate with various groups: technology, business, stakeholders, customer, as well as provide vendor and product analysis and recommendations.

Required Skills:

  1. 10+ years of hands-on development experience (expert level) including back-end Java and Spring Boot (preferred) OR Python/NodeJS and front-end JavaScript using Angular (preferred) OR React
  2. 3 years of people management and delivery coordination experience (small or large teams)
  3. Solution Architecture experience to know how to design it, build the roadmap for solution, ensure it’s workable, and problem-solve
  4. DevSecOps and CI/CD experience (Docker OR Kubernetes OR OpenShift)
  5. Banking experience
  6. A driver, great communicator, strong organizational and analytical skills

Preferred Skills (nice-to-have):

  1. Experience in Collection business domain
  2. Exadata/Oracle
  3. GitLab, Maven, WebSphere
