Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal to join their team. Their ideal candidate will have a strong background in private equity with a proven track record of sourcing and closing deals in the software sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge and a robust network to drive immediate deal flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in enterprise software companies
  • Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including market analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other key stakeholders.
  • Investment Strategy: Collaborate with the senior leadership team to define and execute the investment strategy.
  • Portfolio Management: Provide strategic guidance and support to portfolio companies to drive growth and maximize returns.
  • Market Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform investment decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, or a related field, with a focus on enterprise software.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in sourcing, evaluating, and closing deals.
  • Network: Extensive network of industry contacts and a reputation for building strong relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
