Director of Sales & Marketing - Embassy Suites Cincinnati-Blue Ash

This position will be responsible for generating revenue, fostering client connections, overseeing the sales team, and reports to the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to maximize revenue.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team, providing ongoing coaching and support.
  • Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure team members meet or exceed targets.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agencies, and corporate partners.
  • Conduct regular client visits and participate in networking events to promote the hotel portfolio.

Sales Performance and Reporting

  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to the Regional Director of Sales.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment and support of sales initiatives.
  • Participate in the development of promotional materials and campaigns.

Market Analysis and Research

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Stay informed about competitor activities and industry developments.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales and marketing positions is required for this role.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and surpassing sales targets is essential.
  • Strong capabilities in leadership and team management are a must.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required for effective client interactions.
  • Proficiency in hotel management operations is a critical competency for this position.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary and will be evaluated through an assessment process.
  • Previous experience in hotel management and sales is preferred.
  • Applicants must have US work authorization to be considered for this position.
