Job Summary

The Salesforce Architect will lead multiple design and development activities and projects adhering to the current SDLC process and common agile practices.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Salesforce Architect to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, remote, and is a contract position.

What You'll Do

  1. Describe and illustrate designs with appropriate justifications.
  2. Responsible for the design of the Salesforce solution, specifically Salesforce's dedicated data model, Public Sector Solutions with an emphasis on Omnistudio development.
  3. Assist with translating business needs into a technical vision that the team of Salesforce developers can execute on.
  4. Take a strategic approach to solution design, with proven ability to develop and execute tactical plans to support the strategy.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to create prototypes and proofs of concept as a means of eliciting and defining requirements.
  6. Demonstrate concepts visually and in writing in a way that enables stakeholders to decide with confidence.
  7. Develop the data strategy for the solution including data modeling, data migration, and data sharing.
  8. Assess and make recommendations on processes, designs, operations, and testing.
  9. Ensure the solution remains within the agreed scope.
  10. Provide guidance on user stories ensuring success and acceptance criteria are well defined for each user story.
  11. Design, develop, test, and document scalable, high-quality business solutions to be built on the Salesforce platform.
  12. Perform analysis, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation as well as assist application team members in development activities and reviews tasks as required.
  13. Create workflows of varying complexity leveraging the Salesforce platform.
  14. Development and configurations of Omnistudio, Visualforce, Lightning pages, APEX, and Lightning Web components.
  15. Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other State systems, including legacy systems.
  16. Code review custom developed code and make necessary technical adjustments and recommendations, ensuring proper test class coverage with a focus on low code options.
  17. Perform basic platform configuration (objects, fields, page layouts, etc.), creating reports and dashboards, and data management.
  18. Groom and refine the Salesforce application backlog.
  19. Review estimates for accuracy and completeness composed by other team members.
  20. Work as directed by DoIT management to meet DoIT coding standards and best practices.
  21. Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing within the Application Teams.
  22. Assist with the resolution of production problems.

Required Experience

  • Experience working in a Salesforce Architect role.
  • Experience with Salesforce's dedicated data model; Public Sector Solutions.
  • Experience with Omnistudio, Data Modeling, Data Migration, Data Sharing.
  • Experience with APEX, SOQL, Creating Workflows, Development of Visualforce/Lightning Web Component.
  • Experience architecting development projects through full SDLC using Agile SCRUM.

Desired

  • Copado, SAFe Agile experience.
  • Certifications: Certified Salesforce Architect, Certified Salesforce Developer, and/or Certified Salesforce Administrator.
