Our client, an ecommerce marketplace, is looking for a Global Consumer Insights Manager with a passion for fashion and retail for a 5-month maternity leave contract. This role requires expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to uncover actionable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with external agencies, managing communications, and creating detailed research briefs for both internal and external partners. They should possess a deep understanding of when and how to apply different research methodologies to extract valuable insights. The Global Consumer Insights Manager will be responsible for designing, planning, and conducting various research initiatives, analyzing data from diverse sources such as interviews, focus groups, and surveys, and translating findings into compelling and strategic recommendations.
This is a 5-month remote maternity leave cover. Candidates who sit within EST or CST time zones are preferable as this will be working with global teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and execute both qualitative and quantitative research projects that address key business objectives and inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and manage comprehensive research briefs for internal teams and external research partners, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.
- Work closely with external agencies, managing communications and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Analyze data from interviews, focus groups, surveys, and other research tools to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Synthesize research findings into compelling insights and present them in a clear and engaging manner to stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate consumer insights into brand strategies, product development, and marketing initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and consumer behavior shifts, providing proactive recommendations to the business.
- Lead and manage multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in data collection and analysis.
- Develop innovative research approaches and methodologies to stay ahead of industry changes and consumer expectations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or related field.
- Strong background or interest in fashion or retail industries.
- Proven experience in conducting and managing both qualitative and quantitative research projects.
- Experience working with and managing relationships with research agencies.
- Strong knowledge of various research methodologies and an understanding of when to apply them for optimal insights.
- Ability to create detailed and effective research briefs and manage the research process from start to finish.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and build compelling, actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency with research and data analysis tools such as SPSS, SAS, Tableau, or similar platforms.
