The Role

Further is looking for a Product Manager to lead day-to-day product management for Further. In this role you will work directly with the Founders, CTO and customers to prioritize what we build as a company. We have a large and extremely productive engineering team and we are looking for someone to help us maximize our product impact for our customers.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in product management

  • Experience working in Vertical SaaS, and balancing immediate needs of customer against long-term roadmaps

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Enjoy talking with customers to understand their needs

  • Experience in software development or related domains

  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and translate technical requirements into business solutions

  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Snowflake, and Postman

  • Able to thrive with significant autonomy and responsibility

  • Computer Science background or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Customer acquisition background

  • Eye for good design

  • Experience working with teams in different time zones (Engineering is in Europe)

  • Experience doing consumer applications

What You’ll Own

As a Product Manager at Further, your day will be split into three primary functions:

  1. Talking to customers to understand their problems

  2. Talking to engineers, team leads, and designers to convert customer problems into optimal solutions

  3. Organizing and prioritizing work to maximize product output and impact

In this role, you will be responsible for the entire product development lifecycle, including:

  • Talking to customers with curiosity and user empathy

  • Coming up with solutions to solve customer issues by collaborating with technical and design teams

  • Gathering technical requirements from solutions architects

  • Collecting feedback on solutions from all stakeholders

  • Maintaining a backlog, creating tickets, and backlog management

  • Sprint planning

  • Release planning

  • Product success management

  • Long-term roadmap planning

Using rough estimations, about 30-40% of your day will be spent talking to customers on calls, with the rest of your time dedicated to other responsibilities.

In many ways, this is the most important role at the company, as you will be deciding what we build, directly enabling our future growth.

Compensation Band

The starting salary for this role is between $200,000 to $245,000 USD. The provided salary depends on many factors, such as location, work experience and transferable skills, business needs and impact, and market demands.
