Senior Counsel - Commercial

Our client, a Fortune 500 in the automotive industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Counsel to join our dynamic legal team.

The Senior Commercial Counsel will provide strategic legal advice and support to our commercial operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role requires extensive experience in the automotive industry and a deep understanding of commercial transactions, contracts, and regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, distribution agreements, and licensing agreements.
• Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance, including environmental, safety, and consumer protection laws.
• Support business development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
• Advise on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
• Manage and resolve commercial disputes and litigation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and finance, to support business objectives.
• Stay current on industry trends and legal developments affecting the automotive sector.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial law in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
