Job Requirements / Description

The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for coordinating clinical trials and studies. The candidate in coordination with the Principal Investigator will ensure that all research activities comply with regulatory standards, protocols, and guidelines. This role involves working closely with clinical sites in multicenter studies, other principal investigators, and other research team members to ensure the integrity and quality of clinical data.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To learn about clinical research methodologies, including study design, data collection, and analysis. To learn about the ethical principles and guidelines governing clinical research, such as informed consent, patient confidentiality, and institutional review board (IRB) approval processes. To participate in the development and refinement of research protocols, ensuring they adhere to scientific standards and regulatory requirements.

Data Management: Gaining skills in data collection methods, management, and analysis techniques relevant to clinical research studies.
Collaboration and Communication: Engaging in interdisciplinary teamwork with healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients to foster effective communication and collaboration.

Critical Appraisal: Learning to critically evaluate scientific literature, including published research articles and clinical trial reports, to understand study methodologies, results interpretation, and implications for clinical practice.
Regulatory Compliance: Understanding the regulatory landscape governing clinical research, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, FDA regulations, and international standards.

Career Development: Enhancing skills in presentation, scientific writing, and dissemination of research findings through conferences, publications, or other forums.

Patient-Centered Research: Emphasizing the importance of patient-centered outcomes research, focusing on improving patient care and outcomes through evidence-based practices.

U.S. or foreign graduate M.D.

POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000 . depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience. MD Anderson trainee compensation also includes:
