Electrical Design Engineer

Shamrock Engineering is looking to hire an Electrical Design Engineer.

Shamrock Engineering was established in 2008 and has been focused on delivering sustainable, cost-effective design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for the Florida market.

Qualifications

· Knowledge in design and modelling software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360, Revit, Procore)

· Ability to perform various system studies (power distribution, voltage drop, meter center/switchgear sizing, fire alarm, generator sizing calculations)

· BS degree in Electrical Engineering

· 5 or more years of relevant experience in engineering directly related to power, lighting, fire alarm systems of multi-family buildings

· EIT in Florida a plus

Responsibilities

· As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work directly with the electrical project manager and other design staff to coordinate and calculate and design power and lighting systems for various building types.

· You will be responsible for drafting/modeling your design and coordination efforts with the MEP/FP teams

· Self-motivated and team-oriented with the ability to work both independently and within a team

· Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards such as NEC, NFPA, NEC, FBC, IECC, UL
