Private Equity Attorney

A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a qualified Private Equity Attorney with 4-5 years of experience in private equity and mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate should possess excellent drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills, along with a strong attention to detail. The role requires expertise in negotiating various transaction documents, playing a lead role in client interactions, and demonstrating good business judgment.

Duties:

• Drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other ancillary transaction documents.
• Meeting day-to-day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients.
• Providing legal counsel and support to client business teams in a team-oriented and dynamic environment.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of private equity and mergers and acquisitions experience.
• Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail, and organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Good business and strategic judgment.
• Prior large firm experience working with private equity sponsors.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar.

Certifications:

• Certification in mergers and acquisitions or related field (preferred).
