Founded in 1941, Parco was the first manufacturer to specialize in O-rings, still our primary product. Our manufacturing facility is one of the largest O-ring plants in the world. In addition to O-rings, we manufacture a wide variety of custom molded elastomeric products, including rubber-to-metal bonded parts. Furthermore, Parco imports molded elastomeric seals for resale. Parco maintains a high level of quality by controlling virtually all manufacturing processes in-house, including the development and compounding of hundreds of proprietary rubber formulations, machining our own molds, and molding seals using computer controlled presses.

Duties and Responsibilities
Parco is seeking a proven and motivated individual to enhance our quality department by taking responsibility for a wide variety of tasks in support of the Quality Manager.
The successful candidate will have 2 or more years of experience within the quality assurance field and possess intermediate knowledge in Quality Management System processes including continuous improvement, root cause determination and corrective action implementation. Additional responsibilities include:
- Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System to ensure compliance to AS9100, ISO9001 and Nadcap requirements, including maintaining quality documents and records, training, and nonconformance response and closure
- Prepare the Quality Management System for proposed upgrades to ISO14001, API Q1 and ISO45001 requirements
- Assist in preparing for, and facilitating, internal and external audits
- Review internal first article inspection reports, and manage external approvals before release to production
- Execute and manage relevant SAP (S4Hana) transactions, generate reports, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Performing process studies to optimize manufacturing process parameters and increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Managing the process of customer return of product, including root cause investigation, implementation of corrective actions, verification of effectiveness of actions taken, and proper documentation in the RGA system
- Assisting in the corrective action process of customer complaints, including 5-why root cause investigation and 8-Step problem solving
- Assisting in the calibration process management, including reviewing the calibration system database and assisting the technician when needed
- Assisting in continuous improvement activities, including shop floor management activities, 5-S projects, and Datwyler Production System trainings
- Applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills and make decisions to assist other quality and production employees in improving processes
- Other tasks and duties related to quality department functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, Engineering or related fields preferred
- Ability to independently manage time and responsibilities
- Excellent near vision
- Intermediate computer skills using Windows software
- Ability to interact as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- 2+ years of quality department experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 or equivalent quality management system
- Experience with rubber manufacturing processes
- Experience with measuring instruments (e.g. Micrometers, Video Inspection Machines, Optical Comparators)
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
- Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies (TPS, Six Sigma, etc.)
