Job Description

Visa Direct is a global real-time money movement platform that facilitates consumer and business funded use cases such as person-to-person P2P transfer, person to micro-business transfer, payouts to shared economy providers, funds disbursement, and earned wage access. The push payments market is estimated to be more than 200 Trillion of payment volume globally, replacing cash checks and slow bank transfers with real-time money movement. A robust multifaceted enabler ecosystem is a key element for growth of Visa Direct transactions and services.

As the Senior Manager of Visa Direct Enabler Account Sales, you are responsible for managing and driving VD growth via Visa's North American and potentially Global enabler relationships. You are considered to be in a quarterback position from a relationship perspective as it relates to the orchestration of resources in supporting transaction volume growth, sharing business insights, and developing compelling and thoughtful account plans. Organizationally savvy interpersonal and negotiation skills are critical as the role will interface with multiple areas within the assigned enabler organization as well as within Visa sales, marketing, pricing, legal, risk, and more. Visa is looking for an experienced individual that has business development, sales, and account management experience who is comfortable driving growth while navigating ambiguity and demanding timelines in a matrixed organization. This is a critical revenue growth role on the Visa Direct sales team in a highly visible position. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, high intellectual curiosity to learn new concepts and business models, and the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You must be someone who obsesses about clients and puts yourself in the clients' shoes to look for insights from data that delivers value and puts you in a more consultative trusted position with clients.

Essential Functions/Role Expectations

  • Responsible for driving assigned enabler opportunities, managing projects, negotiating contracts, obtaining deal approvals, developing and executing account strategies, supporting new use case launches, and presenting at the leadership level.
  • Lead enabler account planning activities, pipeline strategy, executive client briefing documentation, and manage opportunity discussions across the larger Visa organization on behalf of your enablement partners.
  • Support and manage other client-facing enabler sales resources as part of the role, providing leadership and modeling excellent relationship management skills.
  • Provide deep understanding of your clients' industry landscape, performance benchmarking, and business options to optimize and grow their real-time push payments programs.
  • Collaborate with all commercialization teams on the development of opportunity sizing for use case expansion across the Money Movement Solutions including Visa Direct, Currencycloud, and B2B Connect.
  • Actively participate in training programs (e.g., product & solution) to continuously improve and update knowledge to apply to role.
  • Experience with data analytical tools such as Tableau and AI support tools to provide business insights and ensure maximum productivity.
  • Regularly monitor clients' performance and provide thoughtful and detailed reporting to internal stakeholders, verbal and written, relative to client activities including a variety of business metrics and insights across use cases and how they stack up against Visa's overall performance. Candidate must have the skill to calculate and investigate a variety of insights from data metrics and be able to produce insightful client-facing graphs, visuals, and stats from the data performance and share with clients via engaging storytelling capabilities.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
  • 8 or more years of experience in sales and business development managing named accounts within the Payments, Fintech, or Payment Service Provider space.
  • MBA or Masters degree.
  • Significant experience in payments or financial services industry.
  • Solid record of effective account management.
  • Proven experience in independently leading complex projects across various functions coordinating with multiple stakeholders and requiring minimal supervision.
  • Extensive experience presenting and communicating across all levels of the organization; ability to speak effectively before the appropriate audience.
  • Ability to develop compelling business cases and articulate the value proposition effectively to secure buy-in from relevant stakeholders.
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational abilities with a track record of consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Familiarity with the processes and core functions of Card Networks and Real-time payments.
  • Cross-functional sales, product, or business management experience.
  • Demonstrates high proficiency with Microsoft Office skillset with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Dynamics, and use of virtual assistant tools such as ChatGPT, Teams Copilot, Loop, etc.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $153,800 to $307,600 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
