As a Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of 5-7, in accordance with overall company policy which includes hiring and training new staff; setting goals and objectives; developing staff to maximize potential; and monitoring staff performance including performance reviews and events set-ups.  

What you’ll do in your role:  
  • Supervise and manage the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of the organization’s facilities. 
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the efficient operation of equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building components. 
  • Coordinate and monitor company events and room-set ups. 
  • Monitor and control inventory of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance. 
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively. 
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and repairs. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure facilities meet operational needs and safety requirements. 
  • Reviews budgets, estimates, labor, materials and other related costs for maintenance and repairs.  
  • Oversees ground maintenance including snow removal, landscaping, and storm water management.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role:   
  • At least 3-5 years of supervisory experience in facility management or similar role.  
  • HVAC/R certification and/or Black Seal certification a plus  
  • Knowledge and experience in building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction.  
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.  
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Experience in a non-profit, social service or warehouse environment is a plus.
