Our finance team is expanding, and we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support our financial operations and help drive our continued success.

Job Summary:

The Accountant will manage critical financial functions within our organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities, capable of exercising independent judgment and discretion in overseeing financial operations, reporting, and compliance. This is an opportunity for an experienced self-starter looking to grow into and be responsible for the full-cycle accounting function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheets, and other financial accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and explanations for annual audits and reviews.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal accounting regulations and tax laws, including sales and use tax, income tax, and other regulatory filings.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Internal Controls: Monitor and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special accounting and financial projects as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or on track to complete CPA certification.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in accounting or a related role
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience working with general ledger systems, AR/AP systems, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
