Position Summary
The role is field-based at contracted deep-sea terminals (East Coast/ Mid-Atlantic). Responsibilities include managing cargo flow, overseeing third-party logistics for sustainable products, directing warehouse operations, and ensuring safety and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Support daily terminal operations and serve as the primary liaison between company and terminal operators.
- Ensure terminal operators secure necessary resources for vessel operations.
- Resolve logistics issues and provide visibility on terminal activities and inefficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and monitor vessel discharge operations.
- Assist in inventory management and report on damaged cargo.
- Collaborate on risk management programs and participate in financial meetings to track terminal costs.
- Evaluate potential third-party terminals for product transport.
Position Profile
Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; relevant certifications preferred.
Prerequisites :
- 5+ years in logistics/supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with safety regulations (HSE, OSHA, etc.) and union experience preferred.
- TWIC card eligibility, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and fluent in English.
- Ability to travel and work in industrial environments.
- Experience with stevedoring, rail systems, and Transportation Management Systems; advanced degrees or certifications in Supply Chain/Analytics.
