Senior Naval Architect Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Naval Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Naval Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of marine and offshore engineering projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and performance of marine structures and vessels.

Senior Naval Architect Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of marine structures, including ships, offshore platforms, and floating structures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams involved in marine engineering projects.
  • Manage projects from conception through completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Utilize advanced simulation and modeling tools to assess the performance and behavior of marine systems under various conditions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to marine operations and structures.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, present technical solutions, and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, research new technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.

Senior Naval Architect Position Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Naval Architecture & Maritime Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 10+ years of experience in Naval Architecture and Design.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software, naval architecture software (e.g., MAXSURF, AutoShip), and structural analysis tools is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine regulations and classification society standards.
