CareCore at Meadows is looking for a creative, organized, and enthusiastic Activity Director to lead our Activity Department and bring joy to our residents through exciting and meaningful activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and orientation of new team members for the Activity Department, with support from the Administrator.
• Supervise and guide activity assistants and other designated staff to ensure a vibrant and engaging program for residents.
• Attend key administrative and care-related meetings to align activity programming with resident needs and facility goals.
• Play a vital role in recruiting, interviewing, and orienting volunteers to enrich our programs.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events, entertainment, and activities that bring joy and excitement to residents.
• Develop and distribute special event invitations and announcements for residents’ families.
• Craft a dynamic Employee Newsletter to keep staff informed and engaged.
• Ensure residents’ voices are heard by organizing and coordinating voting events.
• Keep detailed records of activities, attendance, resident council minutes, and calendars.
• Manage supply purchases to keep activities running smoothly.
• Drive our 15-passenger van for outings and activities (no CDL required, but a clean driving record is a must).

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will meet one of the following criteria:

• 2+ years of experience in a social or recreational program, with at least one year in a patient activity program in a healthcare setting.
• Eligible for certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
• Qualified as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Completion of an activities state-approved certification course.
