The Senior Energy Projects Advisor supervises, evaluates, develops, conducts the negotiation and administration of energy projects and services for internal and external customers by promoting the use of Southwest Gas (Company) assets as a medium to improve the environment. This position takes an active role in researching, developing and evaluating emerging technologies, energy services and energy efficient programs that will ensure the long-term viability and value of the Company’s assets. This position ensures departmental objectives get achieved by providing internal and external customers with systematic support and knowledge in a variety of roles including project management, budget management, contract management; and promotes and supports proper adherence to policies and procedures, adherence to industry codes and standards and adherence to energy efficient programs, energy efficient design and installation. This position will develop and manage energy related projects both inside and outside of Southwest Gas certificated service territory. These duties will be performed in coordination with various other Corporate or Division departments as required. This position advises on environmental and sustainability related matters to ensure the Company remains relevant and the use of the Company’s assets receive consideration as part of any organization’s overall environmental and sustainability program.POSITION DIMENSIONSThis position may have up to three non-exempt and/or exempt employees reporting to it.QUALIFICATIONSThere are clear precedents and practices that the incumbent uses as guidelines to determine how this job is performed.
