Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sr Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in mixed-signal electrical design and knowledge of best practices and emerging technology trends. This role requires an innovative and inquisitive engineer who will not only contribute to but also mentor others in developing new hardware architecture and design, supporting implementation in test and product systems. This is a key position within our team.


Job Responsibilities:

● Lead and participate in mixed-signal electrical design projects from planning and development through to product launch and ongoing support.

● Provide expert guidance on architecture and best practices for mixed-signal system hardware design.

● Oversee the transition of new designs into manufacturing, supporting DFM analysis, ICT, troubleshooting, and First Article Inspections.

● Test and evaluate new technologies related to ICs, electromechanical actuators, power circuits, and assess scalability, maintainability, and supply chain factors.

● Develop and architect automated test systems for continuous product improvement, including test planning and execution.

● Lead new designs through regulatory and standards testing, including EMC and electrical requirements for medical devices (e.g., FCC Part 15, IEC 60601-1).

● Author and review design controls for the Design History File.

● Provide expertise and training on product characteristics, technologies, and regulatory requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with 7+ years of experience in mixed-signal circuit design and development in a regulated environment.

● Proficiency in designing signal conditioning circuits for low-noise signal acquisition.

● Experience with rapid prototyping methods, including breadboarding, circuit simulation, off-the-shelf hardware, hand-soldering, PCB layout, and proof-of-concept evaluation.

● Strong technical documentation skills and ability to translate product requirements into architecture and implementation.

● Familiarity with standards and regulations related to wireless medical devices (e.g., IEC-60601-1, UL, FCC Part 15).

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and competing demands.
