Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Advising, or related field
• Certificate in academic advising
• Licensed counselor (LLC)
• 3-5 years of experience working in higher education
• Technical knowledge of Ellucian products including Banner, DegreeWorks, and/or ADVISE
• Career development and coaching knowledge
• Experience working with at risk students
• Experience working with students on time management, study skills, and other success strategies
• Knowledge of student development theories
Job Specific Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Direct working experience with students within higher education
• Basic knowledge of advising processes and best practices
• Project management experience
• Understanding of FERPA
• Excellent interpersonal skills
