We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud engineer with 8 to 10 years of expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to join our team. The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and implementation of marketing automation solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role requires deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and the ability to lead a technical team, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of personalized, data-driven marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Development:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, etc.).
  • Collaborate with business and marketing teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Architect scalable, robust, and efficient solutions for campaigns, customer journeys, and marketing workflows.
  • Customize SFMC features, including API integrations, cloud pages, and custom scripting using AMPscript, SQL, and JavaScript.
  • Ensure optimal performance and scalability of the Marketing Cloud environment by conducting code reviews and system performance analysis.

Team Leadership:

  • Guide and mentor a team of SFMC developers and consultants, providing technical direction and overseeing day-to-day activities.
  • Lead the technical team through solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by driving continuous improvement in both technical delivery and team dynamics.

Data Management & Integration:

  • Develop data models and integration strategies between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other systems (Salesforce CRM, data lakes, 3rd party platforms).
  • Oversee data flow and ensure proper data hygiene and segmentation within SFMC.
  • Implement and maintain data synchronization processes using API, ETL tools, or Marketing Cloud Connect.

Marketing Automation & Campaign Execution:

  • Lead the configuration of customer journeys and campaigns using Journey Builder and Automation Studio.
  • Optimize email templates, dynamic content, and personalization through AMPscript and Content Builder.
  • Ensure best practices in deliverability, segmentation, and tracking.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to campaigns, workflows, and marketing initiatives.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with marketing, IT, and analytics teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Present technical designs and solutions to stakeholders and gain buy-in.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and SFMC product updates, recommending new features and functionalities to the business.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure solutions are compliant with relevant regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.) and company security standards.
  • Implement quality control measures, such as testing and debugging SFMC components.
  • Provide technical documentation, guidelines, and training to teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with at least 2-3 years in a technical lead role.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing complex SFMC solutions, including customer journeys, automation, and data integrations.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud features (Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Audience Builder).
  • Expertise in AMPscript, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, Marketing Cloud Connect, and data integration techniques.
  • Understanding of marketing automation best practices and tools, including customer segmentation and engagement strategies.

Leadership & Communications:

  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions and solutions with cross-functional teams.

Targeted Salary Range: $150k - $170k
