(OV) Model Based Systems Engineer

• Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Model Based Systems Engineer II who will be key in providing technical support to NAVWAR.
• Located in San Diego, CA

• Develops and applies advanced methods in the investigation and finds solutions of difficult military system design requirements and problems.
• Plans, conducts and directs projects including coordinating the efforts of engineers and technical staff in the performance of assigned tasks.
• Reviews completion of work including system enhancements.
• Recommends changes in technical application.
• Evaluates system capabilities.
• Provides technical consultation to customer.
• Work closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.
• Provide change management and product configuration management guidance.

• Must have a Bachelor's of Science degree from an accredited college/university, in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or other related engineering or computer science discipline and at least 3 years in related experience.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience performing management, reduction, and analysis of architecture data, development of Systems of Systems enterprise architecture, and architecture design tradeoffs, including application and interpretation of DODAF architecture principles.
• Must have at least 3 years specific experience with architecture design and development to modify/improve functionality.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying C4ISR architectures, including capability, operational, services and system aspects.
• Must have at least 2 years of developing Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) products.

• Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance. Capable of elevating to Top-Secret/SCI.

• Occasional travel- less than 10%.
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
