BSA LifeStructures is looking for a Design Principal for our Indianapolis studio. This is an exceptional opportunity for a design-focused Architect that wants to help foster the firm's strategy for enhanced design to ensure the firm is positioned and recognized as an industry design leader by clients and peers.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage our design thinking experts to help us "win the work"
- Assist Principals with client relationships to help shape design vision. Serve as a trusted design partner with clients. Ensure the pursuit and project teams develop strong conceptual design in a collaborative effort. Foster the design drivers through the life of a project.
- Execute Core Design Processes: 20/80 Rule, Followed by all.
- Design Technology: Ensure design technology encourages innovation and inspired solutions. Oversee the testing of new technology in an effort to add value to project success.
- Working with Principals to build teams with appropriate levels of design leadership
- Work collaboratively with Principals to shape the “Big Idea” and the inspired solution with planning teams to set a clear project vision for all team members. Work together to design the best overall experience to all end users (staff, patient, researcher, student, family, etc.).
- Design Expertise on project pursuits, new opportunities and firm initiatives.
- Feeding the “Big Idea, the inspired solution, and the project content to marketing coordinators for content development and communication.
- Assist Principals with revenue generation. Collaborate with Practice Directors to develop design responses to market trends.
- Help develop and mentor future design leaders.

- Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps; familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Professional Licensure required.
- 15 plus years of experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
