Account Executive-Media Sales
RACER Media and Marketing is looking for a visionary Account Executive-Media Sales (AE) to drive strategic growth and innovation across our media platforms. The AE will play a key role in shaping the future of motorsport media by driving advertising revenue growth. This position focuses on building strong relationships with brands across the motorsports and automotive industries, helping them leverage RACER's digital, print, and content creation platforms to reach their target audiences. The AE will manage the entire sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—while working closely with clients to understand their business needs and create customized solutions. This role requires a consultative approach to sales and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and engage prospective advertisers and partners for RACER’s media platforms.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' business goals and communicate the unique value that RACER Media provides.
- Create comprehensive, cross-platform media strategies that integrate RACER’s digital presence, premium print content, and influencer-driven initiatives delivering immersive, multi-touchpoint campaigns.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including editorial, content creators, and production, to craft compelling presentations and proposals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and the motorsports market to position RACER as a leader in motorsports media.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage and track account progress, track sales forecasts, and maintain client communication.
- Represent RACER at key industry events, trade shows, and meetings to build brand awareness and foster client relationships.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in advertising media sales.
- 5+ years of strategic media sales experience, with a proven track record in consultative sales. Familiarity with motorsports is a plus.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, especially executives and decision-makers.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex media solutions.
- Experience with prospecting, cold calling, and managing a full sales cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the motorsports or automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and use insights to drive sales strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to advocating for clients and creating unique media opportunities.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $115k-$135k per year with significant upside potential through performance-based commission. Base pay will consider the candidate's geographic region, experience and skills. The comprehensive compensation package includes medical, dental, vision and a 401(k) plan.
