Carver Companies is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team located at our spectacular new office located in Albany (Guilderland) NY. This is an in-person position. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.

Carver Companies is growing again and expanding their accounting department. We are currently searching for an exceptional Accounting Manager to join our team!
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall accounting operations, including the production of financial reports, working with the accounting department teams in maintaining accounting records and internal controls designed to mitigate risk, enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles, along with other compliance requirements.
Key duties include:
- Preparing monthly financial statements.
- Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable department daily activities.
- Ensuring proper GAAP reporting.
- Oversight of accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversight of month-end close processes.
- Participating in preparation of short and long-term financial company-wide goals.
- Preparing reports and support as needed for annual audits/reviews.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance.
- 10+ years of corporate accounting experience.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication and mathematical skills.
- Good computer knowledge and skills. (Excel, accounting software, etc.)
- Experience with Sage 300/Timberline a plus

Pay is based on prior experience, however the estimated pay range is $90,000 to $110,000
Actual compensation may be higher or lower.
