We are currently looking to expand our leadership team by adding a Membership Sales & Experience Director who will be responsible for leading the member services department of the Northpark YMCA. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality programs and meeting monthly sales goals, combined with the ability to manage the administrative components of the job. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hiring, training and supervising staff and will take on the responsibility to initiate membership services and engagement, welcome center procedures, membership sales campaigns, membership development and retention, branch marketing efforts, and coordinate schedules for Membership staff. The position is for a self-directed, innovative and creative person. Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to ensure that members have a high-quality experience at the Y.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Certifications : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred. One year experience as a coordinator or supervisor of membership programs. YMCA Team Leader certification preferred within three years of hire.

Experience & Background : High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail and high degree of initiative will help this candidate be successful. The ability to direct programs through leading both staff and volunteers, developing and monitoring of budgets, developing and marketing programs and bringing enthusiasm and a passion for fundraising. A proven track record in developing authentic relationships with others and the ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations. This leader will need the ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish would be a plus.

KEY FOCUS AREAS

  • Grow membership by meeting monthly sales goals in accordance with operating plans.
  • Lead the sales process, including connecting with potential members, promoting membership benefits, and closing sales.
  • Develop strategies to motivate staff to achieve sales goals.
  • Lead membership staff to proactively engage members in the Y through member engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations and coordinate for the Y to be present at community events, such as health fairs.
  • Responsible for all aspects of membership staff including coaching, training, and developing staff schedules.
  • Direct and supervise program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
  • Lead branch marketing efforts and distribution of program information; may organize and schedule program registrations. May review and process program scholarship applications.
  • Develop and monitor program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Manage use of facilities for program activities and events.
  • Responsible for YMCA fundraising activities and special events.
  • Model relationship-building skills in all interactions. Respond to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • May assist with Program Committee meetings.
  • Compile program statistics. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in programs.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth offers a competitive salary and benefits package for selected candidates.

The yearly salary range for this position is $44,000 - $48,000 and will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience.
