About Equity Talent Solutions

Equity Talent Solutions (ETS) was established as a subsidiary of Baltimore Corps, Inc. to provide human resources services to small and medium-sized nonprofits, businesses, and government organizations. Equity Talent Solutions works to support mission-driven organizations with the administrative and human resources functions needed to carry out their programs, including Human Resources Administration, Payroll & Benefits Administration, and other Human Resource-related compliance matters.

About the Position

The Executive Director oversees the core business operations. The Executive Director is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plan and increasing ETS’s clientele. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and works closely with the Baltimore Corps leadership team.

  1. Present quarterly reports to Baltimore Corps and the ETS Board on finance, operations, key progress indicators, and strategies to pursue new opportunities;
  2. Recruit new Board members; engage the Board in identifying new leads and potential partnerships;
  3. Collaborate with the board of directors and Baltimore Corps executive leaders and senior directors on the development of a robust and accurate annual organizational budget;
  4. Manage cash flow; create financial reports; supervise outsourced accountants; pursue capital generating opportunities;
  5. Manage daily human resources services to clients, including payroll/benefits; and maintaining stellar customer service;
  6. Develop and implement strategies to engage new clients to increase revenue streams;
  7. Oversee legal/compliance and risk management functions;
  8. Supervise Payroll & Benefits Specialist;
  9. Develop and oversee a strong fiscal year-end close-out process;
  10. Ensure accounts receivable and accounts payable are tracked, reconciled, and managed in a timely manner;
  11. Coordinate all audit activities;
  12. Evaluate, identify, and implement opportunities for improved financial operations, recordkeeping, and reporting;
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or other evidence of intellectual curiosity are highly advantageous;
  2. At least five to seven years of experience in management or leadership roles, with a background in human resources management and administration, nonprofit management, and/or business operations;
  3. Proven leadership skills; a mission-driven spirit; excellent interpersonal, communication, and financial management skills; and the ability to work in and sustain a collaborative team model;
  4. Experience working with diverse stakeholders up, down, and across organizations;
  5. Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated commitment to serving others;
  6. Excellent communication skills and a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy;
  7. Self-awareness, motivation, and willingness to work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to further the development of the organization;
  8. Strong computer and technology skills;
  9. Proven administrative, supervisory, team building and group facilitation skills;
  10. Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously;
  11. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
  12. Cultural competency towards race and equity in the workplace;
  13. Knowledge of performance management and organizational development tools and processes;
  14. Excellent writing and editing, and interpersonal skills.

HYBRID WORK POLICY:

Equity Talent Solutions operates within a hybrid working model, but is currently working towards in-person policies. Candidates must be local (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) and attend required in-person meetings as needed in the upcoming months.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

This is a full-time salaried position, ranging from $110,000 - $125,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The deadline for applicants to apply is October 15th.
