Are you a Structural Engineer with a PE?
This role as a structural engineer is fully remote and hands-on, providing the opportunity to work at various job sites daily. If you're tired of the office and crave fresh air, this is the perfect fit for you.
What You Will Be Doing
• Check buildings for damage like roofs, foundations, and water issues.
• Write reports explaining what you find during the checks.
• Be really helpful and friendly to people inside and outside the company.
• Talk about what you found in court if needed, with help from the company's legal team.
• Learn more stuff and get extra training, and the company will pay for it.
• Sometimes work extra hours when it's super busy.
• Travel to different places for work, and sometimes stay overnight.
What You Need for this Position
• Be a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in your state.
• Have or be able to get a specific engineering certification within 90 days.
• Hold a bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Preferably, have 2-3 years of experience in failure analysis or related areas.
• Have a valid driver's license with a good record.
• Be skilled in technical writing and Microsoft Word.
• Know your way around basic computer tools like Microsoft Calendar, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Be good at helping customers, working well in a team, and enjoying service-oriented work.
• Work well independently, as you may be in a remote (home office) setting.
• Have a reliable home internet connection and cell phone service.
• Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
• Pass a pre-employment physical examination.
