Our client, a well-established global pioneer in bioenergy technology, is recruiting for a Business Development Manager responsible for market growth across the US and Canada regions.
The purpose of this position is to represent and position the company as a leading Bioenergy Technology provider for 1G, 2G, CBG and Performance Enhancer (PE) business spaces. You will create and enhance overall visibility within the US and Canada markets through establishing market share and capturing ethanol market trends.
Expectations/Responsibilities
  • Understands drivers of the market (hotspots) to generate and convert enquiries into confirmed orders
  • Understands bioenergy technology and technical selling to create a strong value proposition
  • Establishes and enhances US/Canada market reach and continuously strives to create prospective client connections
  • Analyzes potential partner relationships for the existing products and future products/businesses
  • Partners with customers to understand their business objectives and maximize sales performance in the most efficient, cost-effective and commercial manner
  • Aligns customer expectations with the company philosophy and overall goal
  • Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships through networking and awareness of key client targets in the ethanol and bio-ethanol markets
  • Focus on market intelligence to develop prospective customers and build rapport with them
  • Evaluates market research, competitor and customer surveys and executes strategies in line with evaluations
  • Responsible for vendor development, identifies competent and alternate vendors for current product range
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in the Bioenergy/Biofuels, Bioethanol, or Ethanol industries
  • Strong knowledge of process technology solutions related to renewable gas plants, preferably ethanol solutions
  • Strong knowledge of bio-based feedstocks to produce ethanol and other sustainable fuels/c0 products
  • Understands and has proven success within the ethanol production market and renewable fuel production plants across the US and Canada

  • Well conversant with American market scenario and trends
  • Thorough understanding of market risks & risk management
  • Knowledge of engineering, projects, and commercials required for creating Value Selling Proposals based on Techno-Commercial Proposal initiatives
