SafeLease is on a mission to help self-storage operators protect and grow their businesses. As we scale rapidly with our core product, we are seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Associate to support our financial decision-making and long-term growth strategies. This hybrid role is based in our downtown Austin, Texas office.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to evaluate business performance, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess the impact of new initiatives, growth strategies, and potential M&A opportunities.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results to forecasts, identifying key drivers and providing actionable recommendations for course correction.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of key business metrics, identifying trends and opportunities that inform financial strategy and help prioritize business initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate financial insights to the executive team and other key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with operational goals, ensuring financial integrity and alignment across the business.

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, financial analysis, private equity, or a related field, with a strong focus on financial modeling and business forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build financial models that inform decision-making and drive strategic business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and performance indicators, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience conducting variance analysis and developing financial forecasts for fast-paced, high-growth companies.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize initiatives based on their financial impact and business potential.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
