Job Description: The Crisis Specialist will conduct crisis intervention and stabilization services in a sub-acute residential treatment setting, including assessments, treatment planning, aftercare planning, case management, as well as individual and group therapy
Schedule Details: Full-Time, Tuesday - Saturday; 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Location: West Reading, PA
Program: Residential Crisis Center
Pay Rate: $24+/hour
Job Functions :
  • Provide quality services based on established best practice principles
  • Conduct appropriate aftercare follow-up
  • Maintain quality documentation of clinical service
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including but not limited to progress notes, treatment plans, risk assessments, safety plans, and discharge planning
  • Provide all supporting documentation required for insurance authorization in a timely
  • Participate in both internal and external multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with program residents, their families, payers, and behavioral health providers, including case management and ACT Teams, MCO care managers, and other local county and community partners
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local police, EMS, and emergency department staff
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Minimum Requirements:
Experience and/or Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences with relevant professional experience of at least 5 years OR Master's degree in social sciences with relevant professional experience of at least 3 years
Clearances: Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal clearance, and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list.
Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
